Improve Your Spiritual Acumen

"And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat." Genesis 3:6 (KJV)

Many countries, homes, businesses and churches have made shipwreck mainly because of poor or bad decisions. Companies have shut down and homes have been broken just because someone lacked keen insight and sharpness and made a foolish decision.

Our opening verse shows us Eve, whom the serpent had come to deceive. She assessed the fruit and made a decision based on her observations; she saw that the fruit was good to eat and she gave to her husband, and that was the fall of man. The woman was gullible with little or no spiritual acumen or insight, and from that position or condition, she made a decision that cost man(both male and female) his dominion and glory. Such has been the story of many people in their homes, marriages, relationships, careers, businesses, or ministries. They've lacked the ability to make good judgements and made a mess of their lives. This is why it is important that you improve your spiritual acumen.

A new creation ought to be sagacious, shrewd, and wise. You are to be sensitive to the leading of God's Spirit always. This is the reason why it's important for you to fast frequently and speak in other tongues everyday so that you can stir up the wisdom of God on the inside of you. It is through fasting that you can improve your effectiveness in the things of the spirit. This plainly means, fasting helps your spirit gain mastery over the flesh. The Word teaches us to walk in the spirit always, which means to be led and controlled by the Spirit and alive to divine spiritual realities. Fasting is also one of the ways to sharpen your sensitivity to the Spirit. You get to sharpen your ability to hear from God. This is needful because you need to hear from God to receive clear direction and instructions for each day that will position you in perfect alignment with the plans and purpose of the Spirit of God for you.

While we are in the month of Divine Alignment, it is needful that you take time to fast and pray so that you can improve your spiritual acumen, stay ahead of situations, make general improvements in your life and prepare for a greater and brighter future. It is by the instrumentality of prayer that our eyes open and can align with God’s will and timing. Don't neglect speaking in tongues. If you're not yet speaking in tongues, ask your pastor to pray for you and receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
